My first time trying the Funk Estate Syrah from Big Table Farms, and it was fantastic. A dark purple core with a neon brick rim beckons you from the glass. With fruit coming from the famed Funk Estate, this “funky” Syrah boasts notes of dark plum, baked boysenberry, poultry herbs, cooked game meat, black pepper, and green olive. It starts off a bit slow but evolves into a meaty, fruity, and peppery wine that has loads of character.
