A much richer, meatier, and more complex Pinot Noir from Domaine Serene, the 2019 Jerusalem Hill gifts notes of brambly fruit, boysenberry, red licorice, allspice, and just a smooch of barbequed meat, alongside the glimmering dark ruby core with a burnt orange colored rim. On the palate, the wine matches the nose but also presents a lovely white pepper and cedary herb component to the mid-palate. It finishes strong with perfect levels of acidity, crunchy sweet tannins, and a medium to full body. Better in 2024. Highly recommended.
