Fuscia colored in the glass with a blueish rim, the 2021 Founders Cuvée by Hyland Estates presents a bouquet of crushed blueberries, red plum, red raspberry, Exotic spices, black tea, and clove. The palate is richly red-fruit-focused, with secondary characteristics of dried pine needles and toasted walnut shells. Finishing with lemony acidity and medium levels of tannin, this medium-bodied effort will age well for the next 10-15 years with proper cellaring. Highly recommended.
