SOLÉNA Pinot Noir, McMinnville ‘Hyland Vineyard’ 2021

Another stunner of a wine in the beautiful 2021 vintage is the 2021 Hyland Vineyard Pinot Noir from Solena. I can’t get enough of the nose - think aromas of freshly crushed red cherry, wild red raspberry, dried lavender, wet white clay, cedary herbs, grated chocolate, and a touch of Christmas spice to round things out. The finish is lengthy and structured, with lemony acidity and crunchy tannins. It’s still a baby so give it a year or two before enjoying, and then enjoy it over the next ten or more years.
