The Stone Speak 100% Syrah receives its name from the stony soils of the Rocks District of Milton-Freewater and this wine definitely shows the characteristics of this location. It is aged 17 months in 20% new French oak barrels. The elegant aromas of black fruits, iron, licorice, spearmint, and salami casings draw you in while the palate of ripe black plums, saline, poultry herbs, lemon pith and red flowers burst on the back of your tongue. This wine may need a year or two to fully develop in the bottle, but the wait will be well rewarded. 241 cases made.
