This Syrah from Walla Walla Valley is aged 17 months in neutral French oak and sees 50% whole cluster fermentation. I love Washington Syrahs and this is a prime example of the great wines coming out of Washington state. Imagine aromas of blueberry compote, violets, potpourri, smokey beef jerky and dark baking chocolate on the nose. It’s a complex and interesting wine to enjoy over time. The palate features a savory melange of blue plums, charcuterie, asphalt, dried sage and cinged cedar. It’s ready to drink now and over the next 8-10 years. 101 cases produced.
