Made from almost entirely Syrah with just a hint of Viognier this Rhone-styled wine displays medium ruby in the glass with a purple rim. It’s fresh and vibrant on the nose with aromas of black cherry, smoked pork shoulder, pencil shavings and black olive. The palate matches the nose with added flavors of tobacco leaf and dried brown mushroom. Acidity comes in high, tannins are medium plus and the body is medium to full. It’s a beautiful wine for the price point.
