98% Syrah is co-fermented with 2% Viognier to give it some color and florality on the nose, it displays medium ruby in the glass with a light purple rim. Wild blackberry, blue plum skin, toasted clove, violet flower, black olive tapenade and some smoked meat meld into a lovely medium acid and medium plus tannin finish. It’s slightly tight and needs another year in bottle, but after that, this Syrah should cellar well for the next 7-8 years. Only 98 cases produced.
