The 2019 Bellamy checks in with a blend of 79% Cabernet Sauvignon, 19% Merlot, and 2% Cabernet Franc and displays lovely aromas of black plus, black currant, graphite, tobacco leaf, and red licorice on the nose. This wine is very well made, like all of The Walls wines, and has an impeccable balance which allows it to be able to be enjoyed now (with a long decant) or over the next decade. It’s silky and rich on the palate, bringing flavors of blueberry pie, cedary herbs, and toasted anise seed. Tannins are a bit grippy so give this some time and you will be richly rewarded.
