A luscious blend of 27% Roussanne, 22% Viognier, 20% Clairette Blanche, 13% Picpoul, 10% Marsanne, and 8% Grenache Blanc that is partially aged in French oak barrels and concrete egg. Aromas of ripe yellow pear, candied pineapple, yellow wildflowers, and smoked herbs are complemented by the rich and oily palate of yellow stone fruits, leafy herbs and toasted almonds. Medium plus acidity help compliment the oily texture and the lengthy finish. I love White Rhone blends from Washington and Tranche makes an outstanding one, especially for the price point.
