A blend of 70% Merlot and 30% Cabernet Sauvignon that rests for 13 months in 100% new French oak with additional 9 months in 50% new French oak. It displays a beautiful dark purple core with a neon blue rim. Focused notes of black cherry preserves, blackberry coulis, spiced black plum, cassis, oak spice, new leather, and scorched cloves all express themselves nicely in the glass. Tannins are integrated but present, while the acidity checks in on the high side. I would give this a year in the bottle before enjoying. Only 239 cases made.
