DEVISON Malbec, Walla Walla Valley ‘Southwind Vineyard’ 2020

Inky purple in the glass, it’s a stunning wine to behold. Producing notes of sweet dark cherry, boysenberry pie, sweet tobacco leaf, cedary herbs, purple violet, melted dark chocolate, and toasted clove, the 2020 of this Malbec is even better than the last two vintages. The alcohol is close to 15%, but you don’t really notice because the wine is so well made. Round and focused on the palate with medium-plus levels of acidity and rounded tannins, this is another wonderful example of Pete’s winemaking skills. Give this a year or two in bottle before enjoying. 95 Points 2023-2033
