A deeply focused dark ruby core with a blueish rim in the glass, this blend of 61% Syrah, 38% Grenache, and 1% Viognier is aged in large format, 20% new French oak barrels. Coming from the famous The Rocks District in Oregon, it definitely carries its sense of place with funky “Rocks” aromas of blue and black fruits, barbecued beef ribs, crushed peppercorn, and cedary herbs. Well-balanced and composed on the palate, the acidity levels are near perfection, while the gamey and earthy finish goes on for minutes. Just 512 cases produced.
