The 2020 Walla Walla Estate Cabernet from FM brings a glowing deep purple core with a bright purple rim in the glass and boasts just 5% Merlot while being aged in 78% new French oak barrels. It’s a totally different wine from its sibling from Red Mountain. Gorgeous red plum, wild blueberry, and macerated boysenberry meld with fresh violet flower, cedary herbs, baking chocolate, scorched cinnamon stick, and dried Meyer lemon peel. Medium to full-bodied with crunchy ripe tannins, and elevated acidity, this Cabernet finishes with a dried herbal note on the back palate and is absolutely delicious. Better in 2024. Only 270 cases made. Highly recommended.
