The 2020 Saviah Cellars G.S.M. is a killer wine and an incredible value. Spending 15 months in neutral French oak, it reminds me of a top Grenache dominant blend from Paso Robles. Giving off red raspberries on the nose and carrying a medium ruby hue, this nimble and settled wine overdelivers. The soft and settled tannins showcase both red and black raspberry, Asian five-spice and rose pedals early in the game. The 18% Syrah and 7% Mourvèdre kick in mid-palate through finish and add some density and depth along with concentrated anise and bramble flavors. The blending is artfully done and produces quite a masterpiece. There is no need to delay enjoying this wine and it should have 10+ years of vitality in its tank. Another gem in a series of outstanding wines from this producer.
