This entry level Cabernet Sauvignon from Saviah Cellars is a solidly made wine and gives you a glimpse into this producer’s fine stable of wines. Incorporating 3% each of Merlot and Malbec and spending 17 months in 30% new French Oak, the tannins are dense, soft, settled, and plentiful. Prune, black cherry, cocoa, and sweet mint tobacco are all present. The wine remains balanced, soft, and smooth as it moves mid-palate through the finish. This is a rock-solid value and should be enjoyed over the next ten years.
