The 2019 Saviah Cellars Cabernet Sauvignon Reserve is a stunning wine and incredible value. Spending 22 months in 40% new French oak, this beautiful deep purple offering showed off aromas of blackcurrants. The decadent mouthfeel, featuring dense, velvety, and fine tannins was impressive and mouth coating. Blueberry, ripe plum, and licorice are the primary notes on entry, with slight pine needle also joining in early. Showing fabulous depth and no hard edges, it shifts seamlessly from gear to gear, and gives up mild arabica bean mid-palate through the 45 second finish. This excellent and sexy wine would fetch two to three times its price elsewhere based on its quality. It is approachable now and has the backbone to sail for 20+ years. You do not want to miss out on this wine.
