Another screaming value, the 2020 Cabernet Sauvignon Walla Walla Valley hits the ground running and never looks back. Spending 22 months in 55% new French oak, and incorporating 8% Merlot, this light to medium bodied effort has a settled, fine, and enjoyable tannic structure. The entry explodes with ripe fruit, consisting of red raspberry, black raspberry, cassis, and Chambord. Licorice, milk chocolate and arabica beans followed mid-palate through an enjoyable finish. Its light viscosity contrasted with its depth and ability to change gears seamlessly throughout the process. It is approachable now and should have 15 years of prime drinking ahead of it.
