The 2020 En Chamberlin Vineyard from Cayuse is a scintillating 100% Syrah that is aged for 18 months in 15-20% new French oak barrels. More red and blue fruit dominated at first but quickly moves to more meaty and salty components like black olive tapenade and black-peppered salumi. I love the lustrous and smooth palate that ends with that perfect level of funk that I find in wines made in the area. Just 408 cases were crafted. Highly recommended.
