CAYUSE Red Wine, Walla Walla Valley ‘Camaspelo’ 2020

A Cabernet Sauvignon dominant blend with additional parts of Merlot, Cabernet Franc, and a dash of Tempranillo is aged for 18 months in 30% new French oak barrels. It’s a full-bodied mélange that’s both balanced and complex, with aromas of black plum, blueberries, tobacco leaf, and hints of scorched earth. On the palate, you will find flavors of crushed blackberries, fennel seed, and brown mushroom, along with saline and crushed rock undertones that make it truly shine. About 371 cases were produced. Highly recommended.
