RASA VINEYARDS 'QED' 2010

This is a blend of 79% Syrah (Les Collines, Seven Hills, Bacchus), 9% Mourvedre (Monette’s Vineyard, Alder Ridge), 8% Grenache (Monette’s Vineyard), 4% Viognier (Les Collines). It was released in November 2013 and is drinking beautifully right now. Very spicy nose with white pepper, smoked meats and nice richness considering the vintage. Flavors of blueberry, anise, blackberry, cigar box and cassis in this outstanding wine. Incredibly balance and richness in this smooth and mineral driven mouthfeel. The winemaking is there as somehow they've managed to get this lovely layered blue and black fruit effect despite the coldness of the year. (Best 2015-2024) - August, 2015 (OB)
