This impressive bottling was sourced from the Seven Hills and Pepper Bridge vineyards. This saw 100% used French oak before being bottled in March 2014. That time in the bottle has softened the wine, leading to a plush and round wine. This fruity, yet balanced effort, opens with aromas of smoked meats, tar, blackberry and anise. Flavors of red cherry, red raspberry, and blackberry pie persist. Loving this open style wine that is meant for consumption right now. (Best 2016-2023) - February, 2016 (OB)
