BALBOA Malbec 'Eidolon Vineyard' 2013

The Eidolon vineyard was first planted in 1999 and is located in the southeast corner of the Walla Walla Valley, in the rocks region. The wine possesses a slightly stony aspect that is evident on the palate. The Malbec begins with bright aromas of blackberry, blueberry, wet rock, and milk chocolate. There are dense flavors of blackberry, blueberry, huckleberry compote, mocha and tar. This is a very classy bottling. (Best 2016-2023) - February, 2016 (OB)
