This wine was sourced from the Olsen and Alder Ridge Vineyards and has 10% Syrah blended in with the Mourvèdre. The Mourvedre wine begins with aromas of bulls blood, cedar, red currant, and smoked brisket. Needing more than an hour in the decanter to unwind, the wine yields flavors of black cherry, blackberry pie, and graphite. There is a seamless quality throughout. Lovely texture and viscosity to this bottling that will cellar beautifully into the next decade. (Best 2016-2025) - April, 2016 (OB)
