SEVEN HILLS Red Wine 'Ciel du Cheval' 2013

The Ciel du Cheval Vineyard, located on Red Mountain, is one of the famed vineyards in the state. This is the estate's 13th vintage of the 'Ciel du Cheval' Red Wine. This wine is a compelling blend of 42% Cabernet, 30% Merlot and 14% both Cab Franc and Petit Verdot. The wine begins with rich aromatics reminiscent of red cherry, anise, cassis and pipe tobacco. There are concentrated flavors of crème de cassis, anise, red bell pepper, wild blackberry pie and dark chocolate shavings. The wine has a polished texture and smooth mouthfeel. This can be enjoyed right now but will also cellar beautifully for more than a decade. (Best 2016-2030) - August, 2016 (OB)
