Sourced primarily from the Seven Hills Vineyard, this Walla Walla Valley Syrah has an inky core and saw 37% new oak for 22 months prior to bottling. The wine opens with aromatics of cassis, black tea, blackberry pie, and cloves with hints of white pepper. There are flavors of black cherry, black olive, Turkish coffee and sagebrush. The wine sits alongside a nice minerality and velvety mouthfeel. (Best 2016-2022) - October, 2016 (OB)
