The 2014 'Pentatonic' is a blend of 46% Cabernet Sauvignon, 36% Merlot, 16% Cabernet Franc and 4% Petit Verdot all sourced from the Walla Walla Valley. Slow to open, this eventually begins to show aromas of red cherry, pipe tobacco, sagebrush and red raspberry preserves. The mid-palate reveals a beautiful, smooth texture with flavors of black cherry, black olive, milk chocolate and red bell peppers connect with nice underlying acidity. The lengthy dark fruit driven finish leaves a lasting impression. (Best 2017-2027) - October, 2017 (OB)
