My favorite of the Ancien wines that I tasted, this Pinot Noir is actually from the famed Shea Vineyard in the Willamette Valley, but I believe they cannot put that on the label because the vinification must be done in California. Yummy notes of ripe black cherry, wild black raspberry, forest floor, and toasted clove merge into a silky smooth, balanced yet concentrated Pinot Noir. It gifts a lovely texture on the palate with medium-high acidity and silky tannins. 221 cases produced.
