All French oak and aged in ⅓ new, ⅓ once used, and ⅓ neutral barrels. A lovely medium-ruby core in the glass with a pinkish rim, it pops with notes of black cherry, charcuterie, powdered black pepper, crushed jalapeno seed, and old leather. It’s a meaty, crunchy, and spicy wine with fruit from the Horse Heaven Hills AVA in Washington. Only 85 cases produced.
