SUNU Pinot Noir, Oregon ‘Lonesome Rock’ 2019

My favorite from the Sunu 2019 Pinot Noir, this beauty is also fermented with 33% whole cluster and aged for 16 months in 25% new French oak. An outstanding nose of macerated strawberry, ground white pepper, Meyer lemon zest, toasted anise seed, graphite, and sweet clove leaps from the glass. The palate is spice and earth driven without being hot. Acidity is perfectly balanced with the rounded tannins and the full body. Enjoy this one now or over the next decade. Only 70 cases were made. Highly recommended.
