ALLORO VINEYARD Pinot Noir, Chehalem Mountains ‘Riservata’ 2019

The Riservata combines about ⅓ each of the 114, 777 and Pommard clones with just a spec of Wadenswil thrown in for good measure. Aged for 11 months in close to 50% new French oak barrels, this Pinot Noir is a tad richer than the Estate from the same vintage. It displays a racy ruby core with a neon purple rim and presents notes of blueberry pie, brown mushroom, sassafras, black tea, umami, and cedary herbs. Rounded and lush on the palate, it finishes fruit-forward and a touch earthy on the back palate. Only 500 cases made.
