100% Cabernet Franc that is aged in once used and neutral French oak barrels and coming from one of the best vineyards in Horse Heaven Hills, I absolutely am in love with this wine. When I taste a stellar example of Cabernet Franc, I always ask myself why I don’t drink more of it. Aromas of red currant, black cherry, orange zest, tobacco leaf, cigar box, vanilla bean and just a hint of jalapeno fill the nose. Ripe red and black fruit dominate the palate and the pepper notes of the nose disappear and you are presented with lovely flavors of classic Cab Franc. Acidity is medium plus, tannins are silky and perfectly integrated and the body is medium to full. Drink now or over the next decade. Only 90 cases produced.
