The Croft Vineyard may be gaining in its reputation for Sauvignon Blanc, but it also produces some excellent Pinot Noir as well. The 2016 instantly impresses as it opens with inviting aromatics of smoke, bacon fat, wild blackberry and tea leaf. On the palate this shows wonderful flavors of black fruits, which are most prominent, along with lighter earthy tones adding in complexity.
