Sourced from the Le Cadeau Vineyard, this underwent nearly 100% whole cluster fermentation. The nose picks up wonderful volcanic earth tones with red fruits and citrus rind tones that dance together in the glass. The palate is silky smooth and highly gratifying with its combination of weight, texture and range. Pomegranate seed, blood orange rind, peat moss and black truffle crudo flavors all connect in the glass. A long-ager, this will confute to evolve well over the next two plus decades.
