The 2016 Flanerie Vineyard Pinot Noir is an excellent wine that was aged for 12-months in French oak barrels (37% new) prior to bottling. The Pinot Noir starts off with aromas of black tea with wild blackberry and exotic spices that all fill the nose. The palate shows nice overall weight and poise, with a wonderfully rich texture laced with bright red and dark fruits that connect with toasty oak nuances. While appealing now, this will cellar well for a decade or more.
