The 2016 'The Stalker' is a terrific and earthy bottling of Pinot Noir. Showing a nice combination of freshness and richness the wine opens with a bright bouquet of citrus rind, black tea, wild blackberry cobbler and licorice. The palate shows a lovely combination of freshness ad richness with blackberry compote, anise, red currant and peat moss flavors, with a great sense of minerality that persists through the mid-palate. Showing a lot of poise now, this warm vintage wine will continue to evolve well over the next decade or more.
