CRISTOM VINEYARDS Pinot Noir, Louise Vineyard 2017

The Louise Vineyard was planted in 1993 and is the contains the lowest elevation Pinot Noir plantings on the Cristom estate and can be distinctly separated into an "upper" and "lower" section, divided by a 150 ft. slope. Because of this topography, the vineyard produces some of the earliest and latest fruit harvested each year. The 2017 Louise Vineyard Pinot Noir is absolutely sensational. This translucent colored wine opens with fresh aromas of red cherry candy, peat moss and guava nuances that all build on the nose. The soft texture entices on the palate as bright red fruits collide with minerals, black tea, exotic spices and wild mushroom. Fresh and intense now, this beauty should so on to age gracefully for at least another decade.
