Aged for about 6 months in 30% new French oak, this wine is very Burgundian in style with a complex nose of wild thimbleberry, black cherry, forest moss, cardamom, milk chocolate and toasted cinnamon stick. The palate is savory and delicious with notes of ripe strawberry and sweet baking spices but ends with an earthy characteristic that I adore and gravitate towards. I am looking forward to see what they can do with their future vintages as their first effort is outstanding. Drink over the next decade. 495 cases produced.
