DOMAINE SERENE Pinot Noir, Willamette Valley 'Commemorative Cuvee’ 2018

Created as a one-time limited offering to commemorate the wine industry’s highest honor, Wine Spectator’s Distinguished Service Award, it was made from a selection of Domain Serene’s finest estate properties. A fantastic bouquet of dark cherry, boysenberry, milk chocolate, tobacco leaf, vanilla bean and purple flowers explode out of the glass. Big and rich with a full body and ripe dark fruit flavors with secondary notes of wet turned earth, sweet oak spices and white peppercorn. Racy acidity and grippy tannins show me that this wine will need a few years in the glass to come together. It’s very new-world in style and phenomenally delicious.
