My favorite of all the Cristom Pinot Noirs, this stunning wine comes from one of their coolest vineyards and delivers fresh and lively, complex notes of wild strawberry, toasted anise, black tea, wet autumn leaves, milk chocolate, and Mexican lime pith. The palate is wonderfully balanced between the racy acidity, medium tannins, and exquisite structure and finish. Secondary characteristics of burnt orange and dried thyme complete the wine. The wine does see 43% new French oak aging but it’s not as noticeable as that number makes it out to be. It’s absolutely delicious. 749 cases produced.
