Fruit that comes from 22 of the Cristom vineyard sites in the Willamette Valley, the Mt. Jefferson Cuveé is the most produced Pinot Noir from the estate at 9655 cases and only $35. It sees 40% whole cluster fermentation and rests for 11 months in 30% new French oak. Dominating the nose are aromas of red cherry, cranberry, blueberry, and lovely woodsy characteristic like a freshly shaved pencil. A lean but vibrant palate produced flavors of red raspberry and cranberry, ending with an herbaceous note on the mid-palate. It’s a lovely wine for the price point.
