Coming from old vines planted in 1993, and aged for 11 months in 20% new French oak, this Chardonnay delivers racy acidity and notes of green apple, lemon zest, underripe pineapple, a touch of clove, and crushed stone. A wine that sees full malolcatic fermentation, but delivers a Chablis-like structure and finish. I’d give this a few more years in the bottle to allow everything to come together and then enjoy over the next 8 years. Only 5 barrels produced.
