Resting for 11 months in 30% new French oak barrels and coming from the Hyland Vineyard in the McMinnville AVA, I’m impressed with what Domaine Divio has done with an incredibly difficult vintage. Bountiful red-fruit flavors abound, alongside cherry cola, scorched cedary herbs, and some wet forest floor notes. The palate is a touch lean, but still delivers those amazing red-fruit tones with some baking spice coming up on the back palate. Drink now. Only 200 cases produced.
