EVESHAM WOOD Pinot Noir, Eola-Amity Hills ‘Cuvée J’ 2019

Brilliant neon ruby core in the glass, with a brickish rim, the scintillating Cuvée J was my favorite from the Evesham Wood lineup and was aged for 22 months in 25% new French oak barrels.. A rich and complex nose of blue plum, blueberry cobbler, fresh tar, toasted herbs, and sweet vanilla extract jump from the glass. Acidity and tannins are more reserved, which is a good thing, on this wine than in the others; thus, it’s more in balance on the palate, gliding across the tongue in a textured and silky way, finishing earthy, mineral, and long. 172 cases produced. Editors Choice.
