Fully destemmed fruit from the Croft Vineyard is aged for 18 months in French oak barrels, with 10% being new. Producing a medium cherry core with a silvery rim in the glass, it begins slightly peppery and earthy on the nose, then opens up with notes of black cherry, red raspberry, fresh Adriatic fig, toasted anise seed, dried mountain mint, and yummy sweet spice. It’s still a baby in the bottle and needs some time to grow up, but it’s an incredible bottle of Pinot Noir that sports mouthwatering acidity, a medium body, and crunchy tannins. Only 45 cases were made.
