BROOKS Pinot Noir, Eola-Amity ‘Crannell’ 2018

Fruit coming from vines planted in 1984 from the Crannell vineyard, it rests for 18 months in French oak. Fluorescent medium ruby with a brickish rim in the glass, the Crannell boasts notes of black cherry, mountain mint, burnt caramel, sweetly spiced blue plum, and black rose petal. Tannins are still grippy, acidity is elevated, and it delivers a full-body mouthfeel across the palate. Enjoy this now with a heavy decant or over the next 8-10 years. 400 cases were made.
