Medium brick-ruby color in the glass with a raspberry-colored rim, this Pinot Noir from the Elton Vineyard also sees 20% new French oak barrels while aging. A bit richer and darker on the nose, it gives aromas of blue plum, wild blueberry, toasted cinnamon, crushed peppercorn, anise, and some forest floor. The palate is round and decadent with additional components of pine forest, black tea, and tangerine oil. Tannins are crunchy but in check, while the acidity chalks in high - ending with a lovely rich finish. 340 cases made.
