Oregon is so new on the sparkling wine scene, but what they are producing is a lovely interpretation of Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, and sometimes Pinot Meunier. This Blanc de Blancs from Haper Voit sports an incredibly fine mousse that covers the tongue in a fine mist of bubbles. Characteristics of dried lemon peel, ripe apple, freshly baked brioche, toasted cinnamon stick, and dried hay meld together with racy acidity and an apple and toasted bread finish. Just 45 cases were produced. Enjoy this one over the next decade or more.
