ALEXANA Chardonnay, Willamette Valley ‘Signature’ 2019

Resting 11 months in about 30% new French oak. Displaying medium lemony-gold in the glass with a silver rim, the nose bursts with gorgeous aromas of Meyer lemon peel, honeydew melon, fresh white peach, beeswax, and candied almond. The palate is much the same, with additional components of fresh apricot, dried mango, red apple, and spicy mountain herbs. Lovely acidity, and a full body that glides across the mid-palate, deliver a scrumptious Chardonnay that should cellar well for the next eight years or so. Only 261 cases produced.
