Finally, the 2019 Sigrid Chardonnay from Bergstrom comes from the best grapes out of the best vineyards in the Willamette Valley. Glistening, lemony gold in the glass, the nose is absolutely stunning and literally pops out of the glass. In a blind, I would call this a premier or grand cru Burgundy with the perfect levels of rich acidity, the roundness you sense on the palate, and the lovely notes of yellow nectarine, ripe red apple, toasted hazelnut, and a smidgeon of dried lemony herbs. Fresh, rounded, structured, and absolutely gorgeous, the balance and tension of the wine are one of a kind. 1000 cases produced. Highly recommended.
